Summer on the Alpe di Siusi and its surrounding villages guarantees all visitors action-packed holidays in the Dolomites: 350 km of footpaths, mountain bike trails, 365 mountain huts, mountain pastures and alpine dairy huts, of which many are open to provide you with a typical break.

During the winter season 2010/2011, the ADAC Skiguide, the German Automobile Club, has awarded the Alpe di Siusi, along with two other areas, as ski area ideal for children and families all throughout the Alps.
The Marinzen, reachable with a lift that start right next to our hotel, is a little oasis of peace. You can walk up to the Puflatsch (it is quite a hike though), but you can also enjoy the plateau, with its little restaurant or walk to the Schafstall (15 minutes) and then walk down to Kastelruth. The local ski stars Peter Fill and Denise Karbon, which both have won medals at the world championships have learned to ski here -. You might just see them if you are lucky. In summer, guests can use the Marinzen lift for free.
The Alpe di Siusi in the Dolomites and the village of Castelrotto is the ideal place for hiking. According to their condition passionate hikers can undertake a cosy culinary walk from hut to hut, climb on the Sciliar mountain or explore a via ferrata in the Dolomites. During a hiking tour adequate mountain equipment is obligatory – i.e. rugged boots, bad-weather clothing, sunglasses, and a jacket in case it gets cold, a hiking map of the area, and some provisions for the hiking tour.
Surrounded by the impressive scenery of the Dolomites, the Alpe di Siusi offers an exciting variety of mountain sports possibilities. The many varied biking routes with their steep ups and downs rimmed by fantastic mountain scenery are uniqueness in its kind. The Alpe di Siusi area and its surroundings is an Eldorado for runners. The “Running Park Alpe di Siusi offers 20 running tracks which invite to exercise, well balanced and well marked with different distances and difficulty, with a total length of 180 km. 8 of these are in excellent condition, surrounded by a magnificent landscape at an altitude between 1,800 and 2,300 meters above sea level on the Alpe di Siusi. 12 of them are at an altitude between 900 and 1,100 meters around the villages of Castelrotto, Siusi and Fiè, at the foot of the Sciliar plateau.

In this quiet and idyllic area situated in the middle of the Dolomites, playing golf is a great experience – a well groomed course which is a challenge in terms of playing and a Golf Club which bears international comparisons. One of the most fantastic 18-hole golf courses in the North of Italy” – this is the unanimous opinion of experts. The golf course strethces on an area of about 60 hectares, perfectly embedded in the landscape. The driving ranch has a length of 260 m and has 32 indoor practice tees.
