The Kastelruther Spatzen, an extremely famous popular music group that has sold more than 10,000,000 CDs, are dear friends of the family Fill and can be frequently spotted in the hotel Alpenroyal.
The Marinzen, reachable with a lift that start right next to our hotel, is a little oasis of peace. You can walk up to the Puflatsch (it is quite a hike though), but you can also enjoy the plateau, with its little restaurant or walk to the Schafstall (15 minutes) and then walk down to Kastelruth. The local ski stars Peter Fill and Denise Karbon, which both have won medals at the world championships have learned to ski here. You might just see them if you are lucky. In summer, guests can use the Marinzen lift for free.
